PMU Procedure
Microneedling
Microneedling, also called collagen induction therapy, is a rejuvenating skin treatment. Your skin is pricked with a PMU device and tiny sterilized needles. These micro-wounds cause your body to make more collagen and elastin, which heals your skin and help you look younger. Microneedling improves the overall health and texture of the skin. This treatment can also be used to flatten scars, like acne scars and stretch marks, for example, and make them appear softer over time. Clients start seeing results 4-6 weeks following treatment.
The treatment is not overly painful as a medical-grade numbing product is used beforehand.
Side effects include short-term redness, swelling and irritation following the treatment. Your skin will feel like you have a mild sunburn for 24 – 48 hours. Treatment can be repeated every six weeks.
Microneedling takes multiple sessions to truly see results, but research has proven it to be an effective and minimally invasive way to improve the health of the skin.
